Norah Jones and Leon Bridges have released a new holiday single titled “This Christmas I’m Coming Home.” The festive track highlights the theme of returning home during the holiday season, with Jones and Bridges taking turns to sing verses about finding comfort and peace in familiar surroundings. The song was written by Norah Jones and Leon Michels, with Michels also serving as producer. It features heartfelt lyrics expressing the desire to leave worries behind and enjoy moments by the fire, recalling what is truly important.
The collaboration between Jones and Bridges also pays tribute to Bridges’ earlier work, specifically his 2015 song “Coming Home.” “This Christmas I’m Coming Home” is the first of two holiday singles Bridges will release, with another track, “A Merry Black Christmas,” scheduled to be unveiled soon. This follows the release of Bridges’ latest album, titled “Leon,” which came out in 2024.
Norah Jones continues her tradition of sharing Christmas music. In 2021, she released her first holiday album, “I Dream of Christmas,” which included both classic and original songs. The album, produced by Leon Michels, was inspired by Jones’ experiences listening to holiday records for comfort during periods of lockdown.
Earlier this year, Jones completed a tour with Charley Crocket called the Crooner & the Cowboy Tour. The tour finished in September and further highlighted her versatility as an artist. Jones expressed her long-standing love for Christmas music and shared that making a holiday album brought her joy and gave her something to look forward to.
Fans of both artists are welcoming this new collaboration, which combines their unique styles to create a memorable song about coming home for the holidays. With both Jones and Bridges offering their musical talents and heartfelt lyrics, “This Christmas I’m Coming Home” is poised to become a seasonal favorite.
