The musical centers around Wednesday Addams, who has grown up and fallen in love with a young man from a conventional family. She shares her secret with her father, Gomez Addams, who must keep it hidden from his wife, Morticia. The plot thickens when the Addams family hosts a dinner for Wednesday’s boyfriend and his parents, leading to unexpected and entertaining revelations.
Under the direction of Scott Usher, who fondly recalls watching the original television series as a child, the show features original music by Andrew Lippa and lyrics that capture the quirky spirit of the Addams family. Senior Grace Pantelas plays Morticia Addams and describes this production as a highlight of her high school drama experience. She praises the fun songs, energetic dances, and special effects that add to the show’s charm.
The cast includes Jackson Albers as Gomez Addams, Samantha Landacre as Wednesday Addams, Logan Clark as Uncle Fester, Miles Vohwinkle as Pugsley Addams, Paige Reck as Grandma Addams, and Ioan DeWinkle as Lurch.
