At the Jhandewalan Temple, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in a special Bhajan Sandhya on the opening day of Chaitra Navratri. Hosted at the Perry Reese Jr. Community Center by several church leaders, this nondenominational event focused solely on Jesus Christ and sought to create a shared spiritual experience beyond denominational divisions. Pastor Larry Kaufman explained that the worship music performed by local musicians helped break down barriers among attendees, fostering a strong sense of belonging and shared faith.
The Hiland event also featured sermons reflecting on Jesus’ final words on the cross, communion led by regional pastors, and a closing prayer session symbolizing unity among church leaders.
